AWARD WINNER: Fourth Place in the 2025 Ivey Women Investing in Leadership Case Writing Competition
This video case series is part of a collection of cases focused on real-world, real-life leaders who are on a personal journey toward greater responsibility to those in need a voice and an opportunity to be heard and listened to. This case highlights the journey of Emma Mcilroy, founder of Wildfang, a company focused on bold, gender-inclusive fashion. Emma is an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, mentor, author, feminist, mother, and member of the LGBTQ+ community. Through each seminal moment and experience highlighted in the case, students are invited to reflect on various examples of responsible leadership, including the associated impacts realized through the various life phases illustrated. The case does not seek to heroize or villainize any individual or group. Instead, it is an exploration of an individual’s purposeful journey following a sequence of events and defining moments.
