Learning Objectives

The case is best taught after students have learned the basics of how to read a set of financial statements and how to perform rudimentary financial statement analysis. The case can be organized as a challenge competition with students being sent off in their learning teams to work on the data and identify the corporations concerned. As soon as they are complete, the students rush back to the classroom and put their answers on the board. The team with the earliest and most correct answers wins.
