TESYA and Finanzauto: From strategy to action

The case tells the story of the strategic and cultural transformation process led by Pierre-Nicola Fovini since his arrival at Finanzauto, an emblematic Spanish company dedicated to the heavy machinery sector. Through a narrative focused on leadership, change management and the implementation of new strategies, the evolution of Finanzauto after its acquisition by the TESYA Group is presented. The paper deals with the initial context of Finanzauto, characterized by a deep crisis, restructuring and a demoralized team. Under Nicola's leadership and with the support of Lino Tedeschi, measures were taken to transform the company into an industrial and human reference. This included a cultural change, internal reorganization, investments in infrastructure, technological renovation and the promotion of the rental sector. In addition, the cultural and operational integration with the Portuguese subsidiary STET, as well as the expansion into new markets and sectors, stand out. Nicola's management has been characterized by prioritizing human talent and a sustainable approach, achieving remarkable financial results, but facing the challenge of consolidating a multinational vision in a diverse and changing environment.
