An intervention was made in a number of schools in Togo, West Africa, to determine if a new method of teaching was superior to what was being used at the time. After a three-year trial, data was collected from schools in the trial and a control group of schools. Now, analysis of the data using ANOVA with controls is needed to determine the result. This case contains a dataset that is excellent for several statistical techniques, including descriptive statistics, crosstabs, t-tests, one-way ANOVA (analysis of variance), one-way ANOVA with covariates, and nonparametric ANOVA.
