Kranthi Kumar Ravuri, the founder of Vibrant Construction Equipments Pvt. Ltd. (Vibrant), faced the most critical decision of his entrepreneurial journey. A top-tier construction conglomerate had approached his firm with a lucrative, yet highly challenging, order. The client needed an environmentally compliant asphalt batch mix plant to be manufactured and erected within just 45 days. Although the opportunity promised to elevate Vibrant to the next level, it also brought significant risks. Set in the context of a rapidly growing make-to-order construction equipment company, the case captured the tension between ambition and operational reality regarding complex project management. Ravuri needed to decide whether to accept the order or not.
