PDW Session
Session Title: Humans in the Loop: AI and Decision Making
Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2026
Time: 1:30–2:15 p.m. ET.
Facilitator: Guneet Nagpal, Assistant Professor of Marketing, Ivey Business School
Moderator: Candis McInnes
Led by Guneet Kaur Nagpal, Assistant Professor of Marketing at Ivey Business School, and Candis McInnes, Executive Director of Ivey Publishing, this 45-minute workshop explores how the case method can evolve in an AI-enabled classroom. Drawing on Guneet’s work in GenAI simulation for marketing strategy and research on how learners interpret AI versus human expert insights, alongside Candis’s perspective on the strategic evolution of case publishing, global classroom use, and the future of case-based learning, the session brings together both research and practice to offer actionable approaches for curriculum and classroom design.
The session moves beyond “using AI in class” toward designing learning environments where learners actively evaluate, question, and apply AI-generated outputs. It also examines how case discussions and assignments can be redesigned to maintain rigor and relevance when learners arrive with AI-supported analysis.
