Decision-Making under Uncertainty: Probability and Simulation (Digital Learning Experience)

This DLE introduces decision making under uncertainty in general and then focuses on probability and simulation. It introduces challenges of uncertainty in decision making and shows a few different approaches how to deal with it. Then it provides examples and practice questions to enable participants to apply learnings from the DLE. It is a comprehensive learning tool for the topic as an introductory level.

This DLE course can be used in a variety of ways. First, they can be used as preparation material and reading. Students can go over the DLE before class so that discussions can focus on other and potentially higher level of topics in the subject. Or the class can simply do another case/example without going over the subject itself. Second, DLEs can be used as a self-learning tool for a subject since they not only include a good content for the topic but also practice questions/tasks as well as useful feedback videos for a given question/quiz. Third, DLEs can be used as a complementary source to learn the subject and can be assigned as HW or task to complete for a course by an instructor.
