100 Years, 100 Cases – The Collection is an exceptional list of Ivey Publishing case studies that reflects the evolution of business since the foundation of our school in 1922. While not necessarily published during their respective eras, the selection of cases featured in the video and case collection are inspired by the historical events showcased in both works, and provide invaluable insights on those specific companies, theories, and moments in time.
1920s – 1930s
Cases in this period are inspired by events such as the foundation of Ivey Business School in 1922 (originally the Department of Business Administration at Western University), and the foundation of companies like The Walt Disney Company, Canadian Tire Corporation, and Air Canada. Other cases are inspired by the Great Depression and the onset of World War II in the 1930s.
